Cognitive Architecture.

Exploring the intersection of LLMs and deterministic reasoning to build autonomous agents with true cognitive agency.

The Quest for Sovereign Agency

Current AI systems are largely "reactive"—they respond to prompts within a closed loop. Cognitive Architecture research at Aramudan.dev focuses on building "proactive" agents. This involves designing systems with internal models of goals, values, and long-term memory, enabling them to navigate the world as sovereign actors rather than just predictive text engines.

Core Research Tracks

  • Deterministic Reasoning Layers: Wrapping probabilistic LLMs in formal logic gates to ensure that an agent's "thoughts" remain grounded in truth and internal consistency.
  • Recursive Agency: Building systems that can self-reflect, audit their own outputs, and autonomously adjust their trajectories based on real-world feedback.
  • Sovereign Memory: Researching local-first, cryptographically secure memory architectures that allow agents to maintain a consistent "self" across sessions without centralized dependency.

Objective

To create "Cognitive Guidance" systems—dependable, unbiased AI partners that can help individuals traverse complex life challenges from a position of autonomy and strength.
